For a long time, there have been only two ways to share graphical
files with remote colleagues - free but limited tools like email
attachments and FTP; and cumbersome, pricey digital asset management
products that are often overkill for the job at hand. At SeeFile
Software we've come up with a better way.
|
The product is amazing at what it does, and the company is always
adding new functionality. With SeeFile, my sites just update when I
save files to my server, and my customers can browse thumbnails, view
previews, download and even post comments for me from any Web browser.
Clients download high-res images while I'm off to the next photo shoot.
SeeFile closed the gap from several stopgap measures.

Running on any OSX machine in your network (from a Mac Mini up to
powerful Xserve configurations),
SeeFile lets you put your filesystem up on the Web, live. SeeFile lets
you make specified areas visible to one or more colleagues, each with
their own login. The SeeFile server can be the file server for a workgroup,
so it can act as a Web gateway to your in-house production, via its
built-in preview, upload and download functions.

Image files, PDFs and QuickTime movies all display in thumbnail and
expanded views, and folders are clickable just as they are on your desktop.
And we haven't stopped there; SeeFile includes advanced features such as a
messaging system that lets everyone comment on files and folders, a File
Actions menu that lets you launch scripted commands without being a
programmer, and a user-defined logo in the upper left of every page. Our
Bureau version ($1,995) even lets you assign up to ten logos to each of
100 users, along with upload and download permissions perfect for juggling
the needs of several important accounts at once.
