ScanXact 10

The original ScanXact colour conversion and sharpening scanner interface has been upgraded to extend and improve the RGB scanning range, and to offer the user an ICC link to Adobe Photoshop® and ColorBlind®. In addition to the traditional features originals can now be scanned as Raw data without adjustment, and saved with or without an embedded scanner profile for appropriate editorial correction later in the linked applications. A Magnifier feature has been introduced to improve location of adjustment points.

KEY FEATURES

• ScanXact Issue 10.0 is a traditional software suite, that is both the user interface for connected Global Graphics scanners and a powerful image editor for traditionally scanned images.
• Using Global Graphics original ICG standard colour engine, which brought professional quality colour scanning into the desktop publishing environment for the first time and was developed from over 30 years of scanner manufacture. It allows you to crop, sharpen and adjust input highlight, shadow, gradation and colour in RGB or CMYK. In CMYK mode you can also adjust output gradation and apply ink reduction. Scanned files are saved as TIFF or DCS.
• An additional ICC link allows passing of unadjusted Raw scanned data with/without embedded scanner profile to Photoshop® or ColorBlind® applications for editorial and colour adjustment.
• Monochrome and Linework modes are also fully supported.
• ScanXact 10.0 has improved the RGB scanning to give increased modelling for full range 4D images.
• The Magnifier feature allows you to locally zoom into a selected adjustment point to more accurately locate detail..
